I have been involved with radio for quite sometime now, as a child I adored music so much so it’s been my future follower, my life even. I remember looking forward to finishing school so I could get my tapes ready and record my favourite sessions and sets on radio, I had so many mix tapes it’s unreal. I hit my teenagers years and things started to pick up fast. It was around the time Robert Miles – Children came out that I first really got in to the dance scene. That’s when it first happened, when I first got the thirst for the dance scene and from then onwards I haven’t looked back, it’s been my drug my passion and my god do I adore it.

What do I love most about Dance?

Well everyone calls it DANCE music and I guess that is the genre it slips in to, but seen as this is my profile, in here I shall call it Trance. Trance music for me is like a breathe of fresh air circulating my lungs, after being under water for too long. Everything in my life as a youngster drowned me out, but Trance / Dance revived my inner self.Trance for me is all about the passion and oodles of emotion, the best Trance tracks, classics even, were all about those very things. People can relate to emotion, people love to hear and feel pure passion, it envelopes ones mind and produces such a vibe it’s hard to contain.

I’m sure you have all been to a club in your time, but have you been to a trance session, in a club? Oh man, what an experience that is, (well it was back in the days of my youth). Everyone dances, everyone feels each beat, emotions are sky high, so many smiling faces, you can feel the euphoria flowing from everyone. It’s just beautiful. I feel like that when mixing, I’m addicted and i’m happily addicted. I have picked up quite a mass interest, knowledge, and fetish for anything Dance / Trance associated, and I look forward to learning lots more . Bring it on!

For the past year I have been putting lots of thought into what it is I have wanted to do with my time. Most definitely music is the first and foremost choice, so I have set up my own radio station Citybeat Radio The Clubbers Guide To New Music. I have been very satisfied with the results,.we have pulled in regular listeners from all over the globe, Taken on some awesome DJs, who also thrive off the passion music offers, some great artists / promoters / and all round musical people. We have had the pleasure of meeting many music fans, followers of all genres, and we have enjoyed there friendship, input and feedback, They themselves have met many musical people, that they find they get on with very well. Artists that they wouldn’t normally be able to speak with so freely, Citybeat Radio is a wonderful site, I’m not just saying that to advertise it, it’s true everyone involved is genuine, they’re all lovely people and I know I’m proud to be around them all. I find myself in a very happy position and state of mind when around anyone music orientated.

What now?

When I’m on radio, I enjoy it thoroughly and feel after some time now, its definitely for me. I am determined to carry on along these lines, and get better and better as time moves forward. At the moment i am working on promoting up and coming DJs, giving Citybeat Radio a passion of it’s very own and also getting back into the flow mixing I hope you enjoy the results.
