Wow so many replies now this in itself makes all the differance! great job guys!

We are taking all opinions in to account now and working out what is the best way forward for the station and all involved. Give us a few weeks ;) I'm sure we can pull something out of the bag.

One thing you all could do more if possible is advertise us if not on your pages and anywhere you think may attract the listening audiences, everyones help whether large or small will help us.

Best Regards to the Citybeat Krew

Good idea about the facebook group (I know there is a very basic one on there already). Myspace is ok but everyone on there is promoting themselves.

I really enjoy doing my show every week and would hate for it to end.

I dont think there is a magic wand that can be waved to make the station more successful, but i do belive that positive things happen to positive people and all it will take is one lucky break for the station to grow more rapidly. It would be a shame to finish the station when that break could be just around the corner.

I just want to say that since finding the station, its the only one I use when playing poker (and thats quite a lot ;). Great music and the banter is usually quality..
I would have to agree with all the above, in that advertising and promotion would probably help. A few wee competitions? I dunno, but Im sure you'll come up wie someat.
Keep up the good work, I certainly appreciate it!!

Now, im not just saying this coz I DJ here, but citybeat radio is the best internet radio site out there - iv found no better. I agree with what everyone else says, but I do realise how much time and money it must take out of Rach and Nath.

Now... dont hate me for sayin this. But I think citybeat should try and make some money. How did you get all them hits before? do that again and make some money out of them, get some links, some ads. I dono, but I think that it would help the movement of citybeat. Maybe its just easy for me to say. If citybeat made money maybe you could get onto some good advertising, and some good enployment etc. But im no expert.

I think all its about it getting reconised... Its the best stumble iv ever found.. and iv heard many other guests say the same. If reconised citybeat could be everyones default internet radio station. I can image that and it doesnt just seem like a dream.

But, getting to that level will be hard and I respect that.

First of let me say that a resource such as CityBeat Radio is an important resource for the Electronic Dance Community at large.

Irrespective of how large or small the initiative is at the present moment - the promotion of the music is what is always important!

I think CityBeat must go from strength to strength here - and I would be more than willing to contribute to the content of the site.
In my opinion we should more content along the lines of Track Reviews, Artist Features, Interviews, Live Gigs coverage and the likes.

We can then create a site that brings forward the best foot in Electronic Dance Music.
We must move forward with CityBeat Radio!!

Cheers

Internet Music Takes a Huge Step Forward

TronMe player allows you to take control of your favorite tracks and to make them your own. The music is uploaded in a totally new way, in a form known as .IVS. This means that each track is broken down into bits. There are the different segments of the song; the verse, chorus, bridge, introduction etc and the different instruments used on each track are also separated. The idea is that anyone, in their own home, is able to take these building blocks and make their own unique mix of the song. They can play around with it all as much as they want, or attempt to recreate the original mix. There’s no end to the options. As fun as that is on its own - there is so much more to TronMe.

Not only can you mix the song to your heart’s content there are different ways to take control. Using the mouse is the most basic way but, amazingly, this software also makes use of your webcam! You can control almost all the program simply from the movements picked up by it. For a controlled mix, you can pick you instruments and samples simply by dancing!

On your monitor you have the tools to create not only your own audio mix of the track but also your own video to go with it. It’s an entirely new kind of performance. Your movements are what makes the track sounds as it does. Your video is not simply of you moving to the music but of you moving to make the music. It’s a subtle yet important difference. What you see on the screen is, predominantly, yourself. To the right of the screen are the instruments and sample tools. Simply by moving your head onto the sample you require the music and mix will change accordingly. With practice you can create the most intricate mixes of your favorite track simply by controlling your head movement. For a totally different effect the program also works the other way round. Just move to the music and see what happens! Your movements will still determine the sound of the track but without you having planned them. You could create something you would never have thought of!

TronMe is compatible with MSN, Skype and, of course, the home video recorder; the performance can be made all the more exciting by an audience or it can just be recorded in mp3 or avi to be watched back later.

Using your mouse together with the webcam opens up even more options. As your head controls the audio tools; instruments, samples and so on, your mouse takes control of the visual effects. As you click on these boxes you will immediately see the chosen effect on the screen. There are many options such FX effects and sparkly eyes that can add a whole extra dimension to your creation. Songs are downloaded from the website already in .IVS form and ready to go. The library of songs is always increasing giving users a great choice of tracks to play with.

The company behind the TronMe technology is 3D Solar Uk Ltd. They are famous for creating the Interactive Video Space (IVS) and so there was always going to be a growing interactive angle to the program. A really exciting development is that users can perform their creations to the world! Each user will recieve a free, live channel on which broadcast their personal performances. Using this channel, the video and audio mixes can be broadcast via any blog, on myspace or on facebook. Tronme will also have a master live channel which will broadcast the best performances - a real incentive to keep practicing and put together a fantastic track! There is a link to the channel from the TronMe website at www.TronMe.com. There are also plans to take the idea into the realms of real time messaging so that people could perform duets, the same song at the same time and yet their own individual mixes. The options are endless.

The player also has a score element to it. The more you practice, the higher your level of skill and those who practice will gain rewards in terms of extra tools to play with. The whole thing is addictively fun and the fact that the end product can be performed to the world just makes it all the more exciting.

3D Solar Uk Ltd are also

There is a link to the channel from the TronMe website at http://www.TronMe.com.

'LIAM - "We're looking, sort of like, if it gets too late towards the end of the year, we'll probably go January. But like, at the moment, its kind of like this year. Erm, we've got about 2 or 3 more songs to write then we''re just gonna mix it, and then I guess the record company will decide when it comes out. We've done our bit nearly."

MAXIM - "Trust me, this albums gonna be tough!

LIAM - "Yeah, it's the best record we've done i think all the way through man, without a doubt. It's really exciting."

MAXIM - "We're feeling everything, dyou no what i mean, every track on it, dyou know? I'm not just sayin that man, this albums gonna be bad!"

LIAM - "You're loving it aint you?"

MAXIM - "I'm fuckin buzzin!"

LIAM - "It's an album we can play every track live with this record, you know, thats what we set out to do. It's not like the last record, where it's like we'd play 2 or 3 songs off of it, but this album, we aim to play sort of like, 90% of it live really..."'

Currently speculation due to recent "behind-the-scences" activity is that the either new album or at least the first single from the album will be called 'Invaders Must Die'.
